Our Family
Clover & Fox Forge started because we had a child who hated sleep.
Like a lot of sleep-deprived parents with terrible sleepers, once our son moved into his own room, we spent our nights hypersensitive to the baby monitor, listening for every sound and wondering when he was going to wake up and how many times. Having a clear view of him felt essential.
When he was around 8 months old, he was sleeping in a floor bed and we had a shelf that seemed like the perfect place to put the camera. The problem was the monitor wouldn’t tilt down far enough to actually see him.
At that point, our baby monitor not pointing at our baby was just one more thing we didn’t want to deal with.
So we folded up some cardboard, shoved it under the camera, and dodgied up a way to angle it down towards him.
It worked… sort of.
The cardboard kept slipping and needing constant adjustment, and the camera even fell off the shelf once or twice. After weeks of fiddling with it, we decided there had to be a better solution. There was nothing on the market that did what we needed, and we didn’t want to permanently attach anything to the wall or furniture.
That’s when Mitch designed the first angled shelf mount prototype.
We’re still using that same original prototype in our son’s room today, more than two years later, although the designs have improved quite a bit since then.
What started as a fix for our own parenting problem quickly turned into something bigger. Other parents began reaching out looking for solutions for their specific baby monitor models too, and before long we were designing mounts, adapters, docks and accessories for families all over Australia and around the world.
Who We Are
We’re Riley and Mitch, the family behind Clover & Fox Forge.
We’re based in Mount Compass, South Australia, where every product is designed, printed, packed and shipped from our home workshop.
Riley is a veterinary nurse and runs the day-to-day side of the business, from customer support and order processing to packing and shipping.
Mitch is a mechanical engineer and 3D printing specialist who designs all of our products and continually refines them based on customer feedback and real-world use.
What started as a way to solve a problem in our own home has grown into a business focused on helping other parents create safer, more practical baby monitor setups without drilling holes in walls or settling for solutions that don’t quite work.
We don’t do one-size-fits-most.
We design practical, thoughtful products that solve real problems for real families.
Thank you for supporting our small family business.
